Abstract

This paper describes the theory of constructivism as an effort to increase students' understanding of Natural Science learning subjects in elementary schools using Project-Based learning in learning practices. PjBL is based on constructivism theory, which prioritizes the urgency of the knowledge-compiling process by students themselves actively, based on the knowledge that has been previously possessed. PjBL is a learning process that supports student-centered learning and experiential learning. PjBL can be one of the solutions for teachers in an attempt to direct students to understand the material, foster creativity, work on projects, and strengthen the process of collaborative group cooperation. Natural Science learning subject in elementary schools aims to provide direct experience to students in order to gain a more meaningful understanding and insight about the environment, which becomes a medium for students to learn about themselves and their environment. The research in this paper is qualitative and uses literature review methods. Journal search comes from the search at Google Scholar, Researchgate, ERIC, and others. The data analysis techniques are (1) data reduction, which means that to remove various things that are not needed and focusing on the important ones, (2) data exposure, which is describing data presented based on certain sub-sections, and (3) drawing conclusions from the results of recent research that has not conducted yet before.

Abstract

This paper discusses the validity analysis of digital products in Malay culture-based Indonesian Language Skill courses through PjBL for University Elementary School Teacher Education students. The research was conducted in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program in July-October 2022. The development model applied in the research of this paper was the research model and educational development developed by Bord and Gall, which consists of three stages namely preliminary studies, product development, and product implementation. In the research of this paper, the researchers limited only the product development stage. The data collection technique used was a research instrument in the form of a validation sheet used by material and media experts in assessing digital teaching materials. Validation instruments were given to media and material experts. Based on the analysis results, it shows that the percentage was obtained completely from the assessment by the validator of digital material development for Indonesian-language skills courses based on Malay culture and PjBL with an average percentage score of 88.82% that is categorized as very suitable to use as digital teaching materials. Nevertheless, there are several parts of the digital material that need to be revised in order to complete the digital material. In the end, the revision results of this digital material can be applied in the Indonesian Language Skills course for the students at PGSD FKIP Study Program in Universitas Riau and can be applied in the lecture system.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Canva-based audiovisual learning media application for the subject of Fiqh in the fifth grade of SDI Matsaratul Huda Panempan Pamekasan. The method used in this research is a development research approach consisting of initial analysis, material identification, product development, and testing stages. After the product is developed, experts evaluate its suitability by assessing the media design, content alignment, design completeness, and attractiveness. The expert assessment results show that the Canva-based audiovisual learning media design obtains a score of 83 percent, categorizing it as good. Limited student feedback also indicates a score of 77,13 percent, categorizing it as good. Based on the assessments from both experts and students, it can be concluded that this Canva-based audiovisual learning media is suitable for use in the experimental school. The field trial results indicate a score of 66,25 percent in the first cycle and 81 percent in the second cycle. The percentage increase in student learning outcomes shows that they have a better understanding of Fiqh subjects when using audiovisual learning media based on the Canva application which has good criteria. Therefore, this developed media can be used for both online and offline learning.

Abstract

This article reviews a classroom action in the form of the application of the discovery learning model assisted by infographic teaching materials to improve the learning processes and numeracy literacy skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Benteng Sidrap Regency of South Sulawesi in Indonesia. The approach is qualitative with the type of classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles on two-dimensional geometric shapes material. Each cycle was conducted in two learning meetings. The research results indicate that after implementing the action, the learning process reveals various changes, such as the focus, activity and involvement, and learning interactions. This change led to the improvement of students' numeracy literacy skills. The action in cycle I indicate that out of 20 students, five students (25%) were in the high-ability category and seven students (35%) were in the medium-ability category. Eight students (40%) were still in the low-ability category. In terms of the action in cycle II, there were 14 students (70%) who were in the high ability category, three students (15%) were in the medium ability category, and three students (15%) were still in the low ability category. The conclusion is that applying the Discovery Learning model supported by infographic teaching materials can improve fourth-grade students' learning process and numeracy literacy skills at SD Negeri 6 Benteng of Sidrap Regency in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

his research was conducted to identify and analyze educational policies after the pandemic in elementary schools. The education policy refers to law no. 20 of 2003 which aims to build the foundation of an intact nation so that good educational standards are realized. This law is in line with law no. 23 of 2014 which states that regional government has authority in educational services. The method in this study was carried out using descriptive qualitative. This method is used to describe the policies implemented after Covid 19. The analysis was carried out through the results of observations and interviews at three elementary schools in Padang. The results of this study indicate that post-covid-19 education policies in elementary schools are taken from regional head policies that are autonomous in nature related to educational supervision during the outbreak by monitoring elementary schools to demonstrate face-to-face school preparation. Obstacles in implementing educational policies stem from limited communication with students in terms of explaining material that demands to complete curriculum achievements.

Abstract

The development of interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 3 on plane figure material aims to determine the development and feasibility of product development through interactive learning media. The research methodology used is Research and Development with the ADDIE approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) with the research subject of students at class IV-C SDN Julang Bogor. The instruments used in the research are media expert validation sheets, linguists and material experts with a total of three experts, students and teacher response instruments, and pre-test and post-test instruments. The validation results produce an average score of 93.7% with the "Very Feasible" criteria. Moreover, the results of the pre-test and post-test assessment produce an N-Gain score of 0.70 with the "High" criteria. Students’ responses indicate 98.7% and teachers’ responses indicate 88% with the "Very Good" criteria. Based on the results, the development of interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 3 on plane figure material in class IV SDN Julang Bogor meets the criteria of validity and feasibility for its development, especially on plane figure material.

Abstract

This paper discusses developmental research. The aim of the research was to find out the validity of big-book media in early reading lessons for students in grade 1. The research was conducted at SDN 008 Gunung Mulya, SKPA street of Gunung Mulya, Mount Sahilan sub-district, Kampar in Riau Province. The stages of the research were modified analysis, design, and development of the ADDIE development model. The research indicates that the validity of the big book media is a very valid category without revisions. It is based on the result of validation by material experts, linguists, and design experts. In terms of the material aspect, the percentage is 96.87% with a very valid category. The language aspect indicates 92.50% with a very valid category. And the design aspect reveals 96.25% with a very valid category.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang Penggunaan E-Book PENA (Kepemimpinan Nabi Muhammad SAW) Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Politik Islam di SD. Tujuan penelitian  adalah untuk memberikan informasi yang akurat terkait keefektifan e-book PENA (Kepemimpinan Nabi Muhammad SAW) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SD terhadap kepemimpinan  Nabi Muhammad SAW. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode Design & Development (D&D). E-Book PENA (Kepemimpinan Nabi Muhammad SAW) diujicobakan kepada siswa SDN 1 Kebarepan kelas IV. Dan kemudian ahli materi mendapatkan penilaian terhadap pengembangan media yang digunakan. Berdasarkan penilaian produk, diperoleh validasi dari ahli materi dengan rata-rata sebesar 100% terkait isi materi dan kualitas media Hasil dari penelitian ini baik, karena penilaian dari guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menunjukkan rata-rata sebesar 100%. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwasannya E-Book PENA (Kepemimpinan Nabi Muhammad SAW) Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Politik Islam di SD sangat cocok digunakan oleh siswa di sekolah dasar khususnya sebagai media yang dapat membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi bahan ajar kepada siswa.

Abstract

This paper describes the effectiveness of the ARCS model approach in improving the critical reading skills of elementary students at the basic process skills level. The research used a pre-experimental design method of one group pretest-posttest type with the research subjects of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 107397 Cinta Damai in Deli Serdang. Data on students' critical reading skills were collected using a previously validated critical reading test instrument. The research results indicate that applying the ARCS model approach in learning critical reading can improve elementary students’ critical reading skills at the basic process skills level. There is a significant improvement in students' skills to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize the information they read and it provides a basis for developing more effective learning approaches. The implications include the integration of the ARCS model in curriculum design and teacher training as well as further research with larger sample populations and broader contexts. It is expected that the application of the ARCS model can enrich teaching at the primary level and advance students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The Early Reading Writing Learning (MMP) is a learning activity for students in lower grades in order to acquire initial reading and writing skills. Early Reading Writing Learning (MMP) is a teaching and learning activity that aims to provide provision for grade 1 students with good reading and writing skills. Early Reading and Writing Learning (MMP) is important for students in the lower grades to master as a basis for further preparation at the next level. This research aims to analyze the Early Reading and Writing Ability for grade 1 students at SDN Mlaten 1. This research is a research using a qualitative research approach. A total of 29 grade 1 students became subjects in this study. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, starting from February 21 – March 1 2023.This study used several data collection methods, including observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The early reading and writing ability of grade 1 students at SDN Mlaten 1 is moderate. Out of a total of 29 grade 1 students at SDN Mlaten 1, 8 students had high MMP abilities, 11 students had moderate abilities, and 10 students had low MMP abilities.
